Cost of a safari?

Safari costs vary widely depending on the level of luxury, duration, and type of experience.(e.g. public national park vs. private reserve or concessions). All-inclusive packages usually cover accommodation, meals, and game drives, but premium drinks or optional activities may be extra. A typical safari in Southern Africa can cost from $1000+ USD per person per night however, games reserves in South Africa are more affordable due to avoiding the USD charges e.g. Amakhala Game Reserve or Marloth Park just outside of Kruger national Park. Transfers in Southern Africa can be expensive especially if light aircraft or long-distance road transfer is required between lodges. Those travelling peak season, it is best to book 12-18 months in advance to ensure you get the chance to stay at the best of the best!
