Depart Windhoek

Fly to the Skeleton Coast in northern Namibia, via Conception Bay. Refuel at Swakopmund and enjoy a low-level flight north along the coast past the Cape Cross seal colony followed by a light picnic lunch near the shore.

Day One

Later fly to the Ugab formations, a moon landscape of black ridges in desolate contrast to the pale desert floor. Overnight at camp in the Huab River Valley. [LD]

Day Two

After breakfast discover the fascinating ecological aspects of the Huab River environs by 4x4 vehicle. This afternoon depart for a scenic flight along the coast to Terrace Bay in the Skeleton Coast Park. Explore the dunes and beach by 4x4 vehicle before flying north to the Hoarusib Valley where you will overnight. [FB]

Day Three

This morning enjoy a scenic drive along the Hoarusib Valley to visit a settlement of the nomadic Himba people, while keeping an eye out for desert-dwelling elephants. Later fly north along the Skeleton Coast to the Kunene River. Enjoy a unique lunch before continuing the journey through the mountains and dunes of the Hartmann Valley. Overnight at camp in Kunene River. [FB]

Day Four

Start the day with an early morning boat trip on the Kunene River. After lunch return flight back to Windhoek. The tour ends at Eros Airport. [B]
